Michael Jackson Song Debuts Online To Delight Of Fans

A previously unheard track from MICHAEL JACKSON's posthumous album 'Michael' has debuted online, reports Billboard.com. The song, entitled 'Much Too Soon', follows the release of the record's first single 'Hold My Hand'. The latest track is a love ballad and premiered on iTunes' social networking music service 'Ping' today (30th November 2010), much to the delight of the late singer's fans.

'Much Too Soon', which is the 10th and final track on the album, is described on the site as being a "bittersweet closing to a stellar collection". Made up mainly of acoustic guitar and string section, the song features Jackson gently singing the lyrics, "I'm hoping that my prayers will see, the day that you come back to me", before concluding with, "But I guess I learned my lesson much too soon". A short history of the track on Ping suggests that it was written around the same time as 'Thriller', and that Jackson always liked the song but never "found the right home for it".

'Much Too Soon' differs from the AKON duet 'Hold My Hand', which debuted in the charts at No. 84 on last week's US Hot 100. The album is set to hit shelves on December 14th 2010
